Marsha Lazareva - A Leading Middle East Businesswoman

Ms. Marsha Lazareva has over 20 years of experience in the fields of private equity, investment banking, finance and strategic consulting in 32 countries. She specializes in emerging markets.

Her previous experience was in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, venture capital, distressed capital and turnarounds for European banks and international companies. Ms. Lazareva provided strategic advice to select Governments on required planning, developments and improvements in their countries' infrastructure and logistics sectors.

Ms. Lazareva moved to Kuwait in 2004 where she headed Strategic Development for KGL Group. During this time, she helped the Board of Directors to reorganize the Group through acquisitions, divestments, spin offs and creation of new businesses, one of which was KGL Logistics Company which is producing profits over tens of millions USD since its establishment.

In late 2006, she founded KGL Investment Company, an alternative investment firm specializing in developing and managing private equity funds in emerging markets.

Prior to joining KGL Investment Company, Ms. Lazareva had a variety of experience in select companies. Ms. Lazareva previously served as Director of Business Development for Eastern Europe at AWT/Creditanstalt Banking Group, overseeing more than USD 460 million in transactions. She also served as Managing Director of Cheshire Group Inc., a boutique U.S. private equity firm specializing in logistics, information technology and real estate.
Early in her carrier, Ms Lazareva has founded one of the very first Market Research companies, ML Production that was collecting, analyzing and packaging information related to a then recently opened ex-Soviet Union markets.
